We Like It Raw: Stoping playing into conspiracy theories and take real action

  • Peggy · 1 year ago
    Wonderful Post.
    Much needed.

I am currently coming out of a year long depression that is very related to this topic. (global economic collapse, 2012, codex, and more out there info that I won't mention)

Focusing on this type of info creating a helplessness and hopelessness in me that I have never experienced so strongly before.

After MUCH inner contemplation, I truly feel that there are different realities simultaneously occuring and we can choose to align ourselves with any of them by our thoughts, actions and BEing.

An exampe of this is that I was raised in suburbia/television/consumer/religious lifestyle and did not know anything different.

After college I gave away most of my posessions, moved onto a sailboat and started practicing a new way of being and interacting with the world that focused on conscious presence, nonviolence, honest observation and communication and simplcity.

My entire world changed. What I mean by this is, there are whole communities of people and opportunities that I never would have heard of or met if I hadn't changed and opened my mind. I have met amazing people and had experiences that I could not have even imagined previously. So every possibility exists and there are many realities happening simultaneously. What you align your heart and thoughts with is extremely important. Every experience I had after that was drawn to me because I had changed.

I have pulled myself out of these fear thoughts and my life is already skyrocketing again. I implore you, if you are having trouble getting sucked into the fear and negativity, know that any change can only come from within you. You start the wave and ripple of change from within and it flows outward.

    Be kind to yourself.
    Be loving to yourself.
    Be simple.
    Be aware.
    Be conscious.
    Be honest with yourself.
    Be change.

    It works.

    Peggy,

Thanks so much for posting this. It's spot on.

I personally know 2 raw food authors that got themselves sick by trying to
save the world. So much pressure they placed on themselves feeling that they
were the only ones that too it "all" seriously.
  • LegalMonk · 1 year ago
I don't know if my perspective is correct, incorrect, or neither... but one view that comforts me when the external world "seems" to be in disharmony is that...

[I say "seems" because I think it is always in Harmony even though in our limited cognative the universe only seems to be in disharmony]

"The real can never be destroyed and the unreal is never born." --Panchastikaya 15.

It's kinda like the floating bag scene from the film "American Beauty" where the kid realizes that there is so much beauty in the universe it's hard to contain it. Nothing scares him, nothing. No fear.

Be a conscious consumer. Realize the change you are creating in the world by paying for organic food, fair trade products, eco products etc. Tip generously. Spread the love wherever you go. Be an example for those around you. It's a chain reaction.

In short: make giving an integral part of your daily life, not a one time tax deductible handout.

Wonderful post and advice Dhru! We truly are now moving to a new era of fear and confusion. Everyday I see more and more the effects that this has on our society, namely taking the form of hatred and aggression.

The only advice I have is this: know that the lives we lead will not end if the system fails us - life, after all, goes on. The system cannot save you from the inevitable - it is only in place to guide your actions while here. But I say, empower yourself by knowing that you can walk away from this fear, no matter what comes to pass. Learn about your surroundings - plant gardens, know the forests where you live, learn about permaculture and other alternatives to mainstream life. If things really will fall apart, you'll be more in control of your situation, and you will be able to help others who need it rather than depending on them. Create networks of like minded individuals in your community so that in the event of an emergency, you will all have a game plan and can help those who need it. For if such action does need to be taken, we have an opportunity to recreate the community around us out of love, peace and understanding - not fear and control.

Also, if you have time, knowledge and energy, get out there now and do as much as you can for the community around you. Imagine if volunteering your own unique abilities affected one person positively, they in turn will be more likely to do the same. Prevention is always the best solution!

Sorry man - I don't believe in stopping credit card use entirely. Unless you think you can afford to buy a house, start a business, or buy a car (well, maybe not a car - well, maybe a smartcar?) without ever seeking financing, you should have at least 1 if not 2 credit cards to establish a credit history. Exercise fiscal responsibility, however, and make sure you pay those bills in full and on time every month to make sure the numbers on your report go up instead of down. If you decide to only go the cash / debit route, you may find yourself with a low - if not a 'no' - credit score only because you don't have a track record and not able to get a good rate on a bank loan. The hey days of NINA loans are over.
  • Dhrumil · 1 year ago
That's the propaganda the credit card companies want you to believe.

A credit score doesn’t measure a person’s overall financial responsibility; it measures how much debt a person is willing to have and still pay it back responsibly. When you don’t use credit, this can cause you to have a low credit score. If you have a mortgage on your current home and your payments have been on time, it’s likely that you have a good credit score.

People with absolutely no credit score (a person that has never had a loan or credit card) can still get a mortgage through a process called manual underwriting. Manual underwriting is when the lender looks at your monthly bills, including rent, over a period of time to see that you’ve made your payments on time.
  • LegalMonk · 1 year ago
Word. . . my dad constantly encourages me to resist the plastic age.
  • nancy · 1 year ago
I totally agree with your definition of a credit score. What I'm saying is that as a young twentysomething living in a city like New York it is easier for me - and perhaps others - to exercise fiscal responsibility with credit cards to build a good credit history through those means than worrying about using manual underwriting down the line - particularly in economic times where parameters around lending are getting increasingly stringent. I know a lot of people who are on subleases, not on bills, and - without credit cards - the only way they would build a credit history is through their cell phone payments. That or people who want to rent and if they do not produce compelling documents quickly will have properties taken from under them by the next person in line. All i'm saying is pick and choose your battles rather than writing off the product entirely. While credit card companies have their own agenda, as a consumer / customer you can use their relationships and powers for your personal gain.

I think individual people react differently to conspiracy theories. I've talked to some people who love it and can get into the minutae about its inner workings, and there there is the opposite end of the spectrum where you find people who don't even want to hear about any of it and have total faith in our world 'governments.'

Personally, I like to hear about the theories and have watched many of those videos Dhru mentions. I find many of them seem well researched and, frankly, born of common sense (esp. David Icke, Michael Tsarion and his symbology in media talks - excellent!). But I also find I can get saturated if I listen too much, it can just tire me out. Maybe I am too much of an optimistic person and abundant talk of negativity/what's wrong with the world and the matrix-web we live in can bring me down. Hey, I'm a raw foodie at heart, I mostly wanna think about seasonal fruit, butterflies and bees collecting nectar, cooked cashews vs. really raw cashews and their effect on my body, etc. well you get the picture. It's a wonder these conspiracy theorists can do what they do it seems so exhasting. But I am appreciative knowing they do it for the betterment of human kind and I applaud them for providing this info for us to realize the state of things and to help bring awareness to taking our power back.

Also a good friend reminded me one day that instead of letting the truth of the darkness that exists out there cause me fear, rather turn it around and let it instill a sense of EMPOWERMENT that knowing the truth is a form of freedom as well. I guess there is some power in the old saying "the truth can set you free".

At the end of the day, I just continue to know that, yeah, there are forces and people out there that I may never really understand their full intent, if it's for my good or ill-will, and I think I will continue to consider myself a seeker of truth for as long as I live, and I am glad there are people and information like the conspiracy theorpists out there who take the stand on the leading edge for us, however I also know deep down that it feels just too good when I hold positive thoughts and feel as peaceful as I can because no matter what anyone does to me or tries to do, they can't take away my inner peace or love.

below is from WE LIKE IT RAW...and it doesnt sit right with me...I mean, the real neocon globalist enemy is talking openly about population reduction by 80-90% by all means necessary, using everything from vaccines to gmo to chemtrails to haarp and all the rest on their laundry list...and if that DOESNT scare us then what it means is we are simply numbed and dumbed! watching a horror flick is senselessly scary, but alex jones and others pointing out facts about the true terrorists in our midst is not being done for simple shock value...its cause, jeez, there is a cabal and its enlisted minions destroying every vestige of human value and freedom and life ( 4 million dead innocent iraqis already obliterated for nothing! )...I mean, hello, there is no pleasure in discovering 9/11 was an inside job...the suggestion below to read Eckhart Tolle"s Power of Now and to use debit cards and transition to raw misses the point altogether and actually plays into the game of the psychopaths; they know human nature; they know that there's nothing like new age hokey to distract! i thought about this a lot and fear is a legitimate and natural red flag that properly allowed for can save our hides...fear out of control can debilitate, but it only debilitates those who arent ready to actually face their fears, and deep self-knowledge and even deep peace comes exactly from facing what we fear, not imagining something else and putting on a happy face. naturally, it is fun to watch Tolle and Oprah talk shop together in an undisturbed state, there is truth in all of what they say, but given what is happening around us it is as inappropriate as that quartet on the sinking Titanic...there is nothing scarier to me than someone incapable of seeing a chemtrail right there in the sky and it not being talked about with vigorous affront...what can I say, I loved the movie Braveheart! What I have learned from the "conspiracy" movement has not lead me into any degree of "unconsciousness", but to its very opposite, a true appreciation of life, and more than anything else it has forced me to be discerning on more levels than even waking up to raw foods has done...so, lets know our peace and strength is there in the eye of the storm, but, god help us if we dont take notice of the storm! all the love in the world to you all...

thank you erez for your perceptiona and clarity
imho what we see in the world is a symptom of the collective state of consciousness
to ignore the symptom will not heal the disease. feelings are our way of detectng things - very valuable!!!!!
dealing with teh symptoms alone will not cure the disease either
maybe the life changes we need to make are actually much deeper than we can almost dare to contemplate but if made will lead to an experience of life that is moe profoundly bautiful than we almost dare hope

Hey Erez. These are all first steps, my first steps.

Fear could be a motivating factor, but it won't sustain action. I'm simply suggesting that we let go of the fear and starting taking action.

hi dru...forget conspiracy theory...this kind of documentary is every
rational, humane, caring person"s nightmare, and it is, I believe THE
reason to help awaken folks to the possibility that World War 3 may
have begun in a way unimaginable...no scare tactics here or fear
mongering, just facts that SHOULD scare the hell out of us, cause when
CODEX takes effect in a year there wont even be an organic label...a
friend of mine had a chance to gab with David Wolfe recently who said
his attention now is on hiding superfoods in chocolate...that says a
    lot, huh?

If you believe that all things are possible, it won't be difficult to imagine that there are simple solutions. My perspective is that the system is what it is, the remedies that stay within the confines of the system aren't really remedies at all. But, if anything is possible..what can you really think of as a plausible solution? If you're the kind of person who gets upset with what seems like apathy (I was), maybe you should commit your attention to the kind of plans that would involve you, your energy, your mind, and those few you would likely attract. Joy develops power. You are more likely to accomplish your goals, and create your visions when your nerves are calm, cells are oxynenated, etc. etc. (fear interferes with the only likely solution we have to overcome physical circumstances-spiritual growth)

I think it is good to be informed, but not dwell on it too much - because I've met a lot of potheads who spent their entire lives tracing conspiracy theories on the internet - wasn't really helping them...BUT, I figured out 9/11 was an inside job by myself - it just made sense, and it helped me to understand world events at that time.
However, if there is anything to the Law of Attraction, then where we put our attention is important. I choose to better myself and my life, any way I can. I choose to keep my mind on solutions, and I choose to believe that the outcome will be good. There ARE multiple realities - one I dip into a lot on a gut level has me immensely excited - but I'm not intuitive enough to tell you exactly why - I just know it. There are many other people all around the world who have the same feeling/knowing. Which reality do we focus on? 9/11 is done. The depleted uranium in Iraq is a problem we will have to deal with, and it is a deplorable crime that this was allowed to happen at all, but our power lies in our personal choices - who we vote for, what we eat, what we talk about with others, how we live, how we get to work, what we do for a living - that's where we have power. Oh, and coming together as a group of informed, committed global citizens with some really neat solutions.
    Good post Dhrumil.

That's the only way we can get real results. Thanks Ange.

My favorite way to take action is one I leaned in Arcata California. It's simple, if you want to make a change then get elected! Run for office being open about your platform or agenda. This works in Arcata. They have quite few local laws that are unlike anywhere in the USA. All the old hippies are now on the town council. They have a law that says no company with more than 3 locations is allowed to open there. This means that there is no McDonalds, Wal-Mart or Supermarkets in Arcata. They also have a law that restricts any law enforcement officer from using the Patriot Act in the city limits. Wow! What a great town.

I hear ya Dru...and I do understand the desire to see things change...I understand the desire we have to figure out HOW to change things...I see lots of lost souls daily, and by lost I mean lost in the detail, or lost in the past, lost in hopes, lost in fear, lost even in love, lost in the news, lost in work, lost in conspiracy, lost in religion, lost in feeling good, lost in feeling bad...I see folks doing everything they can to be happy, to better themselves, and I see how that becomes as much an addiction as the addiction to something like sugar...I see it all...and I watch...for myself personally I figured out what works on the level of simple daily life...I have my smoothies, I run up the nearby hill, I do chi-gung with the rising sun every morning...I connect with something that feels ancient, ancient only because I sense someone once felt the same way I do today millenia ago...every day I share warm smiles with people who accept them and sometimes I"m an asshole and smile at folks who dont want my smiles...what I have learned from all my time is this- what matters most, what really really really matters is something that will happen one night, in the dark, alone...its in that timeless place of infinite darkness and depth, when there is nothing else around, no people, absolute zero distraction that the real and only fearful thing will really confront us...in that moment we have a choice to stare it in the face and surprise ourselves by what then happens, or go back to sleep. man that"s a scary place. I know cause I went there. and i chose to go ahead and stare it in the eye, and i swear it nearly killed me. because it seems like an abyss we will never return from. really, just endlessly dark. but I fought every urge to avoid it. and I looked into it. and when I recovered from the shockastonishmentrepulsionfear i realized it, well, wasnt so bad. then i realized it was actually, well, kinda funny...and then I laughed, and soon I laughed in a way that made the dark less dark...the next day everything changed...the world was the same, the same as it will always be- a kooky place full of flux and challenge, but I found myself welcoming it with a smile and a sense of peace...what was so funny? well, the irony! i realized that the abyss, our fear of death and loss and all darkness is actually the most solid aspect of life...see the irony? what we fear is the very medicine for what we are experiencing today. we are so into the light that we forget how much we need the dark to really get our bearing. i am sure that long ago people spent a lot of time in the dark and were comfortable with it. but today we fear the dark. and that is the central mistake that got us into a whole mess of psychic trouble. so what do i DO now? I do something in every moment that reminds me that nothing lasts and that nothing lasting is a good thing cause it is what allows for something else to happen. just imagine someone pushing the PAUSE button to life and you will get a sense of where I"m going with this. so what do I DO?...sometimes I smile, sometimes I preach about the raw lifestyle, sometimes I am quiet and sometimes I harangue someone about their weight or with another person simply touch them and give them space to cry. sometimes i touch a plant and send a prayer and sometimes pick up litter. sometimes I am in my garden following the crazy movement of an earthworm, and sometimes i watch the sky fill with chemtrails and wonder what parasitic entity infected the mind of the man who gave the order to dump barium on whole cities, and then in the next moment I will have lunch, or teach a class, but the point is it is always moving, changing, and then i remember to get my bearing by going back to the abyss where all is still...my point is the question "what to do?" has no answer because it is the wrong question I think...if you ask it you artificially box reality as it appears in your mind's eye into a mold, and molded we start to feel trapped, fearful, angry...because we cant help but do, and what we do will instantly morph; so looking to "sustain" anything is as foolish as asking the passing cloud to stop right there! so instead of what to do? I simply surprise myself as often as i can every day, coming from that place where in the depths of darkness I laughed at the silliness of how serious I once took it all...what to do? let go the question altogether and see what takes its place...

How about using alternative money, like the LETS scheme here in the UK where you get tokens and barter services and products with other people instead of using money. I hear there are a few places in the world where this is really successful.
There is a village near me called Todmorden, they have a scheme called Incredible Edible. They are making their village self sufficient for food. They have planted veggies, herbs, fruit trees and flowers in the roundabouts, grass verges everywhere. You can go and pick your own dinner from various spots around the town centre!
There are meetings and free plants being handed out, there are people teaching permaculture, it is amazing what they are doing. I hope all other places everywhere in the world follow their example. Here's their website:

Thanks for the post. Please visit this web page first:

Then please read my longish thought below.

    Thanks again.

    ---

It is my impression that the mainstream media works very hard to generate fear. We we are told stories about a shadowy network of terrorists who are likely to attack us at any given moment. We are told that 19 individuals of Islamic faith hijacked planes on 9/11 using box cutters and flew them into 2 buildings in New York City (knocking down 3) and also somehow managed to fly one into the Pentagon, even with more than 1 hour of advanced warning. We are told that a plane crashed in Pennsylvania and disappeared into the ground.

These are lies. Lies that we are being told to instill fear in us. Truth is the antidote, but how...

I believe the advice that is applicable here is to be in the world but not of it. To be in the world means to be engaged with the events that affects our lives. For example, if someone decides to blow up buildings within your city, spewing toxic dust into our air and water this will affect us whether we eat raw food or cooked food. This is a call to action for anyone who decides to be grounded in this world.

To be not of this world means that at the same time that we are grounded in this world we should not be overcome by delusion and fear.

There is a paradox here. An individual living in this world who is both grounded and spiritual will need to live simultaneously on different levels of existence.

As an individual who believes in the law of gravity, the law of conservation of energy and the law of conservation of momentum, I know that World Trade Center towers 1, 2 and 7 were brought down by controlled demolition. The question then is, what to do about. Should I retreat to an exclusively spiritual orientation? Should I allow this insult to the world, and the people in it to go unchallenged?

I choose to be in the world and to speak truth. At the same time, I'm happy and (relatively) free of fear, because I know that I am not of this world. I am comfortable with the paradox.

It is not a question of this or that, it's a question of this AND that. I fight for things that are good and wholesome AND I shine the light of truth on the darkness.

I think the first tangible real-world action to be taken in regards to the events of 9/11 is to speak the truth, clearly and without apology. The government conspiracy theory violates the laws of physics, goes against common sense and fails to stand up to scrutiny. The government conspiracy theory is designed to create fear, hatred and control.

To allow the government conspiracy theory to stand unchallenged, is to allow people to remain unconscious about the most important political event in recent history.

When talking about conspiracy theories, people often lump together conspiracy theories that are true with conspiracy theories that are false. Here people need to exercise critical thinking and make distinctions based on evidence.

For example, any good (and independent) scientist that does research into 9/11 will know that it was a false flag operation, carried out as a pretext for military expansion and domestic repression.

The theory that there is an illuminati or freemason control system that has spanned centuries seems silly to me. Distinctions need to be made between different theories based on their merit.

Having said all what is above, the advice to take tangible action is good. Thank you for the suggestions that you have given and please allow me to add one more pertaining to the events of 9/11.

    * Question what you're told by the government in the mainstream media. Look at the evidence presented and do independent research. Decide which of the various competing conspiracy theories you believe, the government conspiracy theories, that of the independent researchers or that of the disinformation agents.

    * If you are able to determine that you've been lied to by the government and the mainstream media, take action. Speak with people. Share the evidence that's been gathered. Ask questions. Be prepared to deal with the emotions that come up.

Along the lines of sharing information I would recommend that people visit the following webpage where they will find a collection of videos that will either be useful as additional resources, or will begin the process of waking up to the truth of what really happened on 9/11.

In conclusion, I would give the advice, given before, to be in the world but not of it.

    Peace.

Respectfully, I just want to give my two cents, and be out.

I disagree with the paradox thing, spiritual is just a higher dimension of the physical. Metaphysical is something outside of the boundaries of what most of consider normal. We judge normal by our experiences, and our experiences are determined by how we live. How we live is a choice. This is why any person can put into practice certain values and literally effect matter by first overcoming this dimension, or, developing their spirt. I heard an educator talk about how his brother insisted that he accompany him while meeting an adversary, a politician who didn’t want certain parts of history added to general curriculum. The younger brother said he should go too because his spirit would protect them, and affect the outcome. I laughed, not because it was ridiculous, but because it was just off the wall- there were no obvious examples to me of people intending to use these facts in a practical way. In the end, we’re all the same form of matter. And, positive energy transmutes negative energy. Never the reverse. It comes down to the fact, that as human beings we’re a retarded right now, barbaric versions of our former selves. Our pineal glands are calcified. We’re bathing our entire nervous systems with electrical impulses which we call thoughts, and we’re not picking them well. That’s why we see what we see.

It makes sense for those of who have information at our fingertips to start elevating our spirits. This doesn’t mean I ignore information. I contemplate intuition, and then I get to work at raising my vibration in all the ways I know can do so. If I want a metaphysical ability, I get myself in a high enough place where I match up with it. This means love, forgiveness, diet, deep breath, and so on. If one defines peace as a matter of graduating to another reality, then he/she needs to consider whether a better realm can even accept one of us considering what we allow our spirits to attract right here? If just one of us changes, we change everything, everywhere. But, the answer doesn’t have to be grounded in escaping to another reality. We affect all realities, simultaneously. The highest frequencies you produce will attract the same to whichever place you are (where you live/ visit/ contemplate).

    Respectfully,

Fear can be transmuted to power through knowledge and on into spiritual growth through action. Alchemy.

If someone is trying to kill you and to scare and disempower your friends, action on the physical plane is appropriate and wise.

Work done on the physical plane affects the spiritual plane. Activism on earth is a form of karma yoga.

Work done on the spiritual plane affects the physical plane. The spiritual plane and the physical plane are connected. This is inherently bidirectional.

Thank you for the post Dhrumil. It appears you have definately tapped into a nerve of interest.

I am currently in the process of writing a short film for my graudation project at the London Film School on this very topic. A raw vegan learns about 9/11 and the international bankers and becomes depressed about the future. In the end, she discovers that it is important to be happy and affect positive change now. I have posted a discussion on the group Raw Media Outreach. If anyone has any opinions/suggestions for the film, please let me know.

It's interesting -- there are a lot of scary things going on in the world (and some of the conspiracy theories seem to be right on, while others seem to be off base), but it's also a time of great awakening -- We Like it Raw is just one piece of evidence of that. It's as though things are getting more extreme on both sides. So, perhaps we are moving toward some kind of day of reckoning, related to the 2012 prophecies.
